A root canal treatment is a restorative treatment used to repair teeth. Dr. Moon performs root canals to save teeth in cases of:

What Can I Expect During a Root Canal Treatment?
Root canal treatment is a safe, effective, and simple procedure. Before we begin any procedure, our team will thoroughly explain the diagnosis, the steps of the treatment, and exactly what to expect during the process.
- Our team will take digital X-rays to determine the extent of your dental infection
- Our dentist will administer a local anesthetic to numb your tooth and prevent discomfort. We may also recommend sedation to ensure a completely relaxed and stress-free experience.
- Once your mouth is numb, our dentist will create a small opening, remove the dental pulp from the inside of your tooth. This will clear out the infection.
- The tooth will be filled and sealed to prevent future infection. If needed, our dentist will place a crown to restore the tooth’s strength and structure.
